OUR ORGANISATION
Aylsham Community Sports Ltd known as Youngs Park is 100% owned by a charitable Trust (The Youngs Community Sports Trust) and is there operates overall on a not-for-profit basis.
Our venue; Youngs Park is a modern purpose-built football and community facility on the edge of Aylsham; boasting a newly developed J B Postle 3G Football Arena, 11 grass pitches and a community building which has a fully licensed bar and refreshment hub. Although, we are known for football, we also rent the facility out to businesses, clubs and charities in and around our community in the form of regular meeting hire, training & conference events, weddings, parties and wakes.
WORKING FOR US
We believe that YP is a great place to work and socialise. The vast majority of people who run and support Youngs Park are volunteers in our community. The business has grown substantially sincing opening November 2015 and this means we would need more help on a regular basis and looking to employ people on a casual / part time basis.
With the formal opening of new state of the art 3G pitch in September, we are looking for people to help us wth customer service – sell refreshments, open and close the facility and provide support to booking customers onsite including 3G pitch use oversight. We will provide basis training and will need the successful candidate to complete the basic Hygene certifcate, which we will pay for.
As we expand and learn, we expect there to be a number of different types of roles available.
SKILLS
- Sound organisation and planning skills
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
- Be able to demonstrate the use of individual initiative
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- IT literacy
- Experience of using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Evidence of innovation and problem solving
- Sound numeracy skill
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous experience of working in a bar and or cafe
- Previous experience of money handling
Casual / Part-time Flexible hours (zero contract)
Youngs Park is open 7 days a week and working hours vary in line with the operational needs of Aylsham Community Sports Ltd. A typical example week might late shifts (445pm to 8, 9 or 10pm weekdays) and or weekends based on demand (9-1pm or 1-5pm)
Pay is based on the National Living Wage (for those aged 21 and over) and the National Minimum Wage for those at least school leaving age).
